FAMILY DAY PICNIC/SSPITFIRES BASKETBALL MATCH – SATURDAY 17 APRIL 2010 There was a bbq/picnic day at Albert Park prior to the Sspitfires basketball match on Saturday 17 April 2010. Which saw a range of games organised for the afternoon followed by the Sspitfires basketball match. The team loved that you stayed on to watch!
Members of the Australian World Dwarf Games team have been invited to participate in the Australia Day Parade in Melbourne on Tuesday 26 January 2010. The parade will commence at 10.00am and finish in the Kings Domain Gardens where the team invites you to come and join them for a social lunch.
Our Sports Coordinator, Tom Carney, organised the first sports day for members of the Victorian branch on Sunday 15 November 2009 at Cranbourne Indoor Sports Centre. The day included indoor cricket, soccer, beach volleyball and dodgeball. Please stay tuned for further sporting events in the near future.
The 2009 SSPA National Convention was held at Anglesea Recreation Camp, along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, between Sunday 20 September and Saturday 26 September 2009. To raise funds for the 2009 National Convention and the World Dwarf Games, the SSPA Victorian Branch hosted a Trivia Night on Saturday 28 March at St Mary’s Tennis Club in Dandenong. The night was very successful thanks to the help of many people including: Dick, John and the Millard Family.
